TABLE EGG QUALITY AND NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION ASSESSEMENTS OF DIFFERENT BREEDS AND AGES OF LAYING HENS

Table eggs collected at random from one-hundred and fifty layers (75-FUNAAB-Alpha 75- ISA brown) kept Breeding Unit, Teaching Research Farm, Olusegun Agagu University of Science Technology, Okitipupa 31st, 33rd, 35th weeks (WK) age were analyzed for internal external characteristics within 24 hours laying. The data subjected to analysis variance assess the effect breed on egg quality. Breed had no significant (p > 0.05) weight (Ewt), length (EL), shell (SW), ratio (SR), albumen (AW), (AR), yolk diameter (YD) height (YH) in all ages considered. At WK 31 was observed < width (EW), index (SI), (YW), (YR), (AH) haugh unit (HU), higher values traits brown except (YW) (YR). Significant (< HU AH WK33. Shell thickness (ST) (YI) experienced 35. nutritional compositions eggs. It can be concluded that layer's do have effects some quality parameters.
